They are not as vermillion as Vincent's sunflowers but it was really fun painting them. K did the sunflowers, well some of it and I think they look good. I'm better with doing the parts with the details somehow.
By the way, I've totally given up on the paint-by-numbers set I purchased from the bazaar - I don't think you really learn anything by working on it. And besides, the colors provided just don't blend well together so I doubt the finished work would look appealing too.
Have been reading The Story of Art by E.H. Gombrich, it's the most interesting read and he says that the history of art is not one of improvement in technique but rather the changing of ideas.
