Cinque Terre, Unesco World Heritage Site

I just had to try my hand at this gorgeous combination of vibrant colour and buildings and nature.  Think it could have been better especially how the orientation of the houses are captured (it was more front facing in how I depicted it but it was supposed to be more angled) but overall I'm happy with the outcome.

Again, brushes with poster colour but this time I drew the outlines in yellow intead of pencil.  Even the boats were done in yellow over the darker background before painted over in blue and red.

Done yesterday.

European Landscapes

A little river-side town, I've put in more flowers than the original scene had as I thought it would make it more interesting. Done in mix of water and poster colours with mainly round brushes of various sizes.

And here are two representations of the same scene of an Austrian landscape.  One done in water/poster colour mix by Kelvin and the second is a quick sketch by myself.

I think he did a really good job with blending of the colours and shading.  My sketch was just a five minute exercise, but given the same amount of time we took to do the two pictures I say I really prefer the one he did.
